This week has truly been fun. I didn't do much outside of Animation but it was still good.
This past week we have started to do our 11 second club. We created our characters on the computer and all. Mine is supposed to be a Cop talking to a Robber.
For the club we started to do lip syncing. It's truly quite fun to do. It's definitely something I enjoy doing. I would enjoy doing it with music. For instance, if the percussion hit hard in the symphony/song, the character or scene is affected by it. Kinda like fantasia by Disney.
Something I would like to learn: hmmm. I would most likely like to learn to make smoother animations. Just so everything I do could look cleaner haha.
I'm trying to do my best for the blogs. Believe me I am. So for now on maybe I'll try to do these earlier than the last minute pretty much.

Before I begin talking about something else, I want to apologize for not writing anything within two weeks.
Now on to what I am to talk about. Every creator and artist in all of time has a great idea for a project. It stars with a simple act or song or art that inspires their "Perfect" idea. I'm not saying that they aren't perfect in the head, just that they never work out as close to as planned. I have faced that problem. Many times, believe me.
You can only get close to your idea. And that takes skill. But it's definitely possible.
First, you have to plan out the idea. Like writing the plot or thinking of its meaning. Something of the sort. Then, make some drafts of your project, it will help. It does for me. You could also write down what techniques you would use or want for it. Like abstract, toonish, or realistic. After that, try applying those techniques to some examples. Choose which one looks best. And then, begin applying that one technique to the project. But out of all those ways of fulfilling the task, make sure you are organized, have time, and patience. I always forget one of those sadly. Also, your project will never be exactly like your idea so you have to be flexible to compromise.
Hopefully I have helped in some way to you getting the job done in a project of the sorts.

Weekly comments:
I've never done this for the blogs so it's best I do it now than never.

This week has been fun and weird in multiple occasions. For instance, I got to work on my dive project. I haven't finished yet but I'm close. It doesn't bother me as much because I am truly proud of this project. I truly do enjoy animation and I love to have a profession that is in its category. I just wish I had a computer at home to do it there too. And to be honest, I'm finally actually happy to go to school so I can go to boces for this class. It's a very positive turn in my life.

So this past week in Animation we have watched the movie Wall-E. We didn't watch because it was a "good" movie, my personal opinion, but because we were focusing on the techniques(Principles of Animation). we would have to take notes as to what style of animation they( the animators) would use for a scene. i noticed quite a bit of examples that held the principles. one example I saw almost right in the beginning was when Wall-E was when Wall-E ran over his pet cockroach and the pet got squashed. it was a form of squash and stretch. when Wall-E did crush his pet the volume of the pet stayed the same but it became stretched out. Another example of the principles was when Wall-E was moving in his vehicular shelter and then stopped. he started to look at something the viewer couldn't. You, the viewer, knew it was something important since he was staring at it. This is a form of Anticipation. Again(ha ha), another example of the principles was when Wall-E fired Eva's gun. Everything was in slow motion which hinted the effect of exaggeration because it overly emphasized on his actions like his surprise of the firing of the gun. Appeal is definitely an important use in the movie. Wall-E could of been simple by looking clean but they portrayed his appearance as rusted and dirty. Same for Eva. Eva is a smooth, clean droid. Appeal as before is a major part of a movie. Arcs is another principle that was used. A great example of it is when Eva flies. She just doesn't hover/flies when she moves but when she does she arcs abit as a form of showing movement besides moving. Another example is Wall-E's eyes. They arc backwards from level to up to back. Those principles were major in making the characters and scenes so hopefully when you watch it you'll see the scenes I am talking about and see how the principles made the scene.

For this past week in  Animations we went over design principles. I want to now learn how to add style to my animation even though we have just begun learning how to animate. i found Exaggeration, which is when the details of the character for a frame or two are not in proportion to add emotion and mood of the character and scene. another technique is Secondary Action, it is when the character is committed to one action like walking that the then are also chewing gum at the same time. oh, one thing that frustrated me this week, and a bit of last week, is the flip book.
hopefully this link works but its to an animated video of a group of gamers called the Game Grumps :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDVzKrItsU4
it holds alot of animation techniques. hope you like it

This week in animations we went over some history of animation and Harmony. Yesterday and Tuesday we began working on a house drawing to show what our style of drawing and ideas are. All of the projects that i saw in the class were fantastic.everyone was really creative. Me, i made an apocalyptic styled environment. I'm not really used to this way of working, on computer that is so it's a bit frustrating . I am definitely wanting to learn to use the drawing on the computer better, especially with the tablets. Also, during this week everyone has something particularly. Mine is not related to Animations but it was a song called "Lonely Day" by System of a Down. the song is actually fun to play so I'd advice listening to it. If you want tot listen to it, heres the link:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnGdoEa1tPg
